Enjoyed activating Parks on the air yesterday from fire island/smith point state park with my QRP set up. A bit surprised that I did not make more contacts after looking at the reverse beacon network and seeing that my 5 watts traveled across the country and into Europe. The weather was picture perfect for winter on Long Island. Of course the wildlife are always hanging around looking for a handout. I’m planning another activation later this week! 73 de Gary KE2YK
