Today I received my 13 colonies special event certificate. I was beginning to think it may have gotten lost in the mail. However, I can imagine the work it takes to get all those certificates sent out each year!
While the HF bands have not been that great this summer, I was able to actually work all 13 colonies and the WMPEN endorsement for the clean sweep again. Each year I try to challenge myself by making all the contacts using CW.
For the event I used my KX3 and G5RV. My micro Ponderosa doesn’t allow for much in the way of antennas so having some wire at least beats using a compromise antenna system.
2021 was also my first attempt at working the New Jersey QRP Skeeter event. After checking Larry’s worksheet the other day, I was surprised to find I had top score in NY.
